Shipping & returns

Everything is printed to order in our Alberta studio, so there is a making stage before there is a shipping stage. Here is what to expect from both.
How long it takes to make
Most orders are printed, finished and packed within 5 to 6 business days. Larger pieces and multi-part figurines sit at the longer end of that, because they print in stages and are assembled by hand. If something is going to take longer than usual we will email you rather than leave you guessing.
Shipping
Shipping is a flat rate that depends on the item, and it is shown at checkout before you pay. Most pieces ship for $12 CAD within Canada and $16 CAD to the United States, with a small charge for each additional item. Larger items cost a little more, and a few ship free.
Parcels go out through Chit Chats, who hand them to a local carrier for the last leg. In the United States that is normally USPS. Within Canada it is usually Dragonfly or GSM, with Canada Post for rural addresses. Everything ships tracked, whichever carrier ends up with it.
Typical transit is 3 to 8 business days in Canada and 6 to 10 business days to the US once the parcel leaves us.
US orders and duty
US import duty is prepaid by us. It is already included in the price you see, so nothing is collected at your door and no parcel is held for payment. This is why our US prices differ from our Canadian ones.
Returns
If a piece is not right, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund, or exchange it for something else. Email shop@sidequestco.ca and we will tell you where to send it.
- The item needs to come back unused and in its original condition.
- Return postage is paid by the buyer. We refund the item price, not the original or return shipping.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method once the item arrives, usually within a few business days.
If something arrives damaged or wrong
That one is on us. Send a photo to shop@sidequestco.ca and we will reprint and reship it at our cost, or refund you in full. You do not need to send the broken piece back, and you will not pay return postage. Parcels do occasionally get crushed in transit; it is a normal part of selling small printed things and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
Made-to-order and personalised pieces
Personalised items, such as a sign with a name on it, cannot be returned unless they arrived damaged or we made a mistake, since we cannot sell them to anyone else.
